Introduction
The Regional Meteorological Office at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (SAAS)
International Airport in Subang is a Class I Meteorological Office. It
operates 24 hours a day and 365 days in a year. It provides a
comprehensive range of aeronautical meteorological services in
accordance with the provisions of Annex 3 to the Convention of
International Meteorological Practices - Regional Supplementary
Procedures. It is manned by a total of 30 staff.
Functions
This Office is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of
meteorological services tailored for aviation needs for flight
originating from SAAS Airport. As a dependent regional meteorological
office, it receives most of the aviation meteorological products from
the main Meteorological Office in KLIA via the Aviation Breifing
Terminal (ABT) or fax.

Kuala Lumpur FIR for specific meteorological parameters crucial
for aircraft safety. |
