The National IGBP Committee of Malaysia (NICM) was established in 1992 in response to the increasing IGBP related activities in the country and the need for better coordination of these activities at the national level. Membership of NICM draws on expertise from various relevant government agencies and universities and allows for future expansion or changes in the composition of the committee.
The Chairman of the NICM is the Secretary-General, Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment of Malaysia.
